2. EXAMINATION
OF THE CURVES AND FIRST CONCLUSIONS - THE
BREAK OF 1974 |
|
When examining the
preceeding ones curves, one cannot miss being struck on the existence of an exceptional
and indiscutable phenomenon . |
It occurred in 1974 one change
which created a true break in all
the curves, including those which relate to the European neighbouring nations. The cause is thus external to France. |
|
Maurice Allais sought which
was this phenomenon which had such a considerable influence on the economic evolution
of France and Europe. |
One could evoke various
hypothesis |
 | Grenelle agreements (May 1968) |
|
 | Remplacement of the SMIG by the SMIC (January 1970) |
|
|
 | 1er oil crisis at the time of the war of Kippour (October
1973) |
|
 | 2ème oil crisis at the beginning of the war Iraq / Iran
(September 1980) |
|
Maurice Allais gives the
reasons which result in eliminating these hypothesis. |
Finally, there remains only one
possible cause which could have had such important and sudden consequences. It is the
modification, as from 1974 precisely, of the policy of the Organization of Brussels which,
under the influence of Great Britain and United States, is deliberately directed
towards the mondialist release of the external exchanges. It is as from this moment
that the world economic currents changed. The effects of this change were worsened by the
dislocation of the international monetary system and generalized introduction of the
system of the floating rates of exchanges. |
In comparison with the evolutions
noted since 1974 to 1997, that is to say during 23 years, Maurice Allais affirms that such
an evolution will continue if the mondialist policy of free trade of Brussels is
maintained. |
